We’re Where Winnipeg Finds its Contact Lenses

Today, there is a contact lens for nearly every prescription. Whether you have myopia, hyperopia, or astigmatism, you can find a comfortable pair of contact lenses that provide excellent visual clarity.

Unlike eyeglasses, where the conversation centres around the style of your frame and the type of lens you wish to use inside, the conversation around contact lenses is a little more complex.

Proper Contact Lens Fit is Essential

If you’re considering adding contact lenses to your eye wear routine, make sure that you choose a pair that is comfortable to wear. Proper comfort starts with a great fit. If you haven’t already, come see us for a contact lens fitting exam

Choose Your Contact Lenses Based on Need & Desired Wear Schedule

There are many different types of contact lenses, each with their own set of benefits, requirements, and maintenance needs. If you’re unsure of which is best for you, one of our friendly optometrists will provide guidance to help you make this decision. Book an appointment to meet with an optometrist to discuss.

Daily-Disposable Contact Lenses

Sometimes just referred to as “Dailies” (which is also a brand name), daily-disposable contact lenses are single-use and designed to be disposed after a single day of wear. Compared to other types of contact lenses, daily-disposable contacts offer reduced risk for eye health complications (that usually stem from improper contact lens cleaning).

We strongly recommend daily-disposable lenses for their convenience (you never have to worry about keeping them clean) as well as their health benefits.

Do not wear daily-disposable contact lenses more than once.
